TRAVELS: Cesky Krumlov

This is the last of my travelling town posts, I might do a post or two on "logistics" and how to do everything you want on a budget though, if anyone is interested?!! Cesky Krumlov was another find from the World of Wanderlust blog... which lists it as a 'must-see' on a number of blog posts... located in the 'Bohemian' district of the Czech Republic, it was about a two hour coach journey from Prague and an absolutely delightful way to spend my last day of the trip! A proper fairytale type town, complete with a castle, of course, this is the sort of place you wish you could keep secret forever. The gorgeous medieval streets twisted and turned, occasionally crossing the stream and lined with delightful little shops and cafes. We opted not to splurge out on a trip up the tower and later instead put our money towards a trip to both the Marionette Museum and the Egon Schiele gallery - where Otto Placht and Jaroslav Hnevkovsky's rich and colourful exhibitions were running alongside the permanent exhibits. An absolute must if you're in the country for more than a couple of days!
